Hello friends bikers!

"Water in the lake and stream
No matter what the weather
The dam is what keeps the two
From joining both together"

This time we will be exploring the beauty of the water as well as human-made industrial masterpiece - Shimokubo Dam.
We will use a toll road from the Rendezvous point to get to the destination.

For a run like that, I would ride route 299, instead of the Kanetsu highway. Much more enjoyable. Just a thought.

Thanks for the advise, rider2371. We were riding on the route 299 last weekend, so this time we want to use toll to get to the destination faster.

Posts about all sorts of upcoming rides are of course welcome here. But you'll probably see a lot more interest in rides that focus on the actual route as well as (or even instead of) the destination.

Actually not much tour riding group post anymore here.. I just know that people rides by looking on Facebook or through friends..

I think couple of years back there was much more riding tour.. Or not? Anyway many member now prefer off-road ridings .

This coming Sunday weather looks pretty good but as now it seams nobody is riding:-/

Wonder if winter has anything to do with that? Generally winter is better for off-roading and
summer for road riding.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that FB is better for keeping track of who is coming on a ride, but a forum like this one is better for generating a thread of comments that can help you plan a ride over time. And of course there may be some people on GR you're not FB friends with, and some of your FB motorcycle friends may not read GR. So when I have a big ride planned like the GoldenRide, I always post it on both sites.

For sure the surge in offroad riding has decreased the number of road rides being planned. Still, there are SEVEN upcoming rides listed in this subforum right now! I think in general people tend to plan day rides or other casual rides off the forum, but are posting up big "event" rides or overnights here.

So why not start a new thread here and see who wants to join you?

I don't have Facebook and I don't plan to getting in on it; therefore, I rely on gaijinriders for touring trips and information. I check the forums often, and if there is a trip that I am interested in; then, I try to make plans for it. I am not sure of the inner-workings of gaijinriders in the past;however, I have to say that I am impress with the amount of great information buried in some of the post. I have found routes and information to go with it that will dwarf a travel agency.
