My friend is entering an all Japan super Motard race in Ina Nagano on the 5th of June, which next Saturday.
I was planning on riding down from Yamanashi watching the race and then maybe having a bit of a ride on the way back.

Anyone interested post up. I'm not sure what time the race starts yet.

Pete.

Weather looks to clear all week and next weekend so let's just plan on going you baby.

I will meet you on the chuo once we gt the time from Peter who is also getting us pitpasses I heard

Thanks!

Ok, there seems to be a few races. The practice starts from 9am and the first race is after that but not sure with the final race being at 1pm. There is also an entry fee of 1000 yen. http://www.k-moto1.net/
I was thinking of rocking up there around 10 or 11 watch the race and have some lunch there then take of for some touring.

Edit, after looking at the site, I think the race is on Sunday, not saturday. I sent my friend a mail and I'm waiting for his reply. I will post up with the reply.

Well, since Trent is hatin' he don't need no stinkin' pit pass that also allows him to hang with the paddock girls! I'll take his pit pass and enjoy twice the luv!

Will have to see if I can juggle my weekend.

Ina's just a straight shot down the Chuo and it won't take 3 hours. But you can take Rt. 299 back, would be a blast on your duc.

May be interested for Sunday, just have to clear it with the Boss Lady and if you all don't mind a motard slowing you down a little on the toll roads.

I was thinking of slabbing it there to watch practice, races, and whatever the pit passes have in store. I may be up for touring on the way back pending what time everything wraps up at the track.

Anyone find out what time the main event (race) ends?

Was it 1pm Jim?

Dana Antkiller would love to come along - looks like I have a pink pass if you don't mind a Harley doing its best not to have the footboards fall off while I follow you back along the 299.

Looks like it is 220k straight down the Chuo for me, so wall clock 2 and a bit hours inc a stop?

Daft question - where exactly is the Services for 7.30 am meet? I Googled it in romaji and kana and still got nowhere.

Antkiller
03-06-10, 02:12 AM
I won't be going Chuo. I think I'll take some back roads to Chino then pop over the mountain to Ina. If anyone wants to join me we could meet at the Daily store on R20 after you exit the CHUO at Kofu/ Showa exit. When exiting take the Shosenkyo direction the daily store is about 3 kms up R20. Maybe leave at 8:30.

Im heading down to Fuji Saturday night to see some crazy street driffting round the back of FUJI the D1 is on this weekend so it always kicks off big time..in the morning do a few laps of the lake and head over and meet you guys in the morning...

Anybody want to join in on the night ride...??

So I won't be joining FB for a night ride but I have a plan for Sunday.

Dana and TR meet Restokes, RC51 and myself at the Dongonzaga PA at around 630....Slab it over to Nirasaki and hook up with Pete at the 7-11 as usual (Pete we could meet you at the one by your house but I know of two without ETC so Niraski is best)

Take the twisties out to the track...Race finish around 2pm head out following TR down RT299 back home ish.

Sound good? TR you still coming??? Trying to get some twisties in on Sunday not just race watching...

Me thinks if we're all present and accounted for and gassed up at Dangozaga SA, we could be at 7-11 at Nirasaki around 745-ish.

I'll likely have to gas up at Nirasaki before taking the back woods.

So far, gas mileage with the race ecu is not favorable as expected...but the engine finally has life to it!

I'll be at Dagozaka around 6:45 if that helps gets things going.

FYI, Dagozaka is after exit 9 (Uenohara). You'll go up a pretty long hill and you'll see two smoke-stack looking things (they're actually light towers). If you've gone to the Otsuki IC, you've gone too far.

PhilAfter talking to Paul, which he knows the roads out there better than me. It will take us 2 hrs to get there our usual route. That without any stops and with a good pace. That would put us there around 11.
I think that is a little late. I understand you guys coming from Tokyo having to get up early but it is a nice ride over the mountain which I would like to do and enjoy. I think if you guys can't join us at 8 at the 7-11 maybe we could meet at the exit of Suwa at 9am.

I thought I posted this morning from work, but it doesn't seem to show up...anywho...

Made it home at 545 only to be swindled into a family outing with the son's soccer team.

I very much enjoyed the ride out via the backroads navigated by Pauly and Pete. That's what I look forward to doing more often! Thanks guys!

Had fun watching the races and gotme pumped to get back out on the track with the CRF. I do hope to make it out there one day soon. Pete, it would be great if your friend could stop by SLY and offer a few tips. I was quite impressed by his results with what he was running.

Here 's some pics of the day. I wish I got some shots of OUR bikes!

The ride home...a meter wide bike and lane splitting...need I say more? I appreciated you guys waiting for me a couple times, but too many buses/trucks closed the door on me. We had it going pretty good when we had a line of about 15 of us going together.

Looks like she is dressing the tyre with a hot iron. Could be singing off the whiskers, or adding a line of dimples. Women are usually much more careful at these kind of jobs. Very close attention to detail.

Tire Siping: Adding razor thin slits to the treads. I'm not sure what proof there is in that it works. Some believe it adds more traction or dissipates heat better...we used to do it to our DIRT modified tires.

Nice pics Pete!
