If you could post the route of the rindo itself, it would be much appreciated.

The longest rindo I know in the Chichibu area is at Naguri. It has multiple access points, but if you're traveling from Tokyo the most convenient start point is just off route 53 here: 35.857931, 139.180226. The first few Km are paved then it turns to gravel/dirt for about 20km (short section of road at about the 2/3 point and the rindo continues from here:35.891592, 139.136409). I rode most of the Naguri rindo on July 11 and it was in good shape. There are four logging trails which lead off the main rindo which are fun if you're looking for more of a challenge (steep) and some shade...

Yes, it's the same rindo. Close by to the 1st photo location is a fun logging trail which is nicely shaded. The logging trail footage starts from 9:00...

I know trails on the other side of 299 well. There are plenty of trails up there, many technical and tricky :-)
