Thanks for the foldable trailer link. That might just do.

On which category would the Holden Ute fall? Would it be considered a truck and taxed as such?

    Thank you, guys.

Can't tell just by that listing. Why not ask the seller?

How big is that thing? Are you sure your bike will fit?

(I shudder to think how much gas that 6.2 liter engine sucks up. The engine on my tractor-trailer is only 12.88 by comparison).

It does have a monster engine. But the base model is a 3.6L not a 6.2L. And it does fit a bike no problem.

I'll ask the insurance people see what they say.

The base model is a 3.6L... but the lineup is totally insane, afaik,... 6.2litre V8 Engine 304kw of power

Have you had a look at the mercedes V-class? They're very expensive when new but drop in value quickly and seem a good combo of utility (bike&stuff hauler) and comfy transport (and will get you there quite quickly, too)

I've been eyeing these for a while - especially the "long" versions - (but might actually spring for a Mazda Bongo ;) )

The X-class is the kind of pickup I'm looking for. The bed seems large enough for a single bike but might need some "extension" or tailgate for two (not my problem, anyway).

I have failed to find a two door model, which is a pity. If they have the steering wheel on the right side, they could be a real option for me.

Thank you for contributing to the thread.
