    Default DRZ Headlight

The stock DRZ light is not good for travelling at anything over 60km/hr
on dark mountain roads. I purchased an aftermarket unit TUV approved
that is just as crappy and wasted a hundred bucks in the process.

So I'm going to get one of these HID jobbies

and some of these HID jobbies.........

and then I am going to smash up the TUV junk light and post it back to the
maker with a nice letter describing my thoughts on their product.....

Nice find. I'm thinking that the HID headlight is going to be so freakin bright that you won't even need that helmet jobbie.

I'm guessing they are neither legal or illegal and that they have no been
considered under any specific law. Which mean the cops wont know what
to do and will do nothing.

It looks very much like an HID diving light i've used on diving helmets. Any more than a few seconds out of the water and they would overheat and cook. They work great underwater!!

What's the scoop on those helmet lights Jav, I may be interested in a set up like that if they tolerate "air cooling." I wanted to put some PIAAs on the FMX, but some regulation, either Spanish or European doesn't allow additional lighting on the bike. The helmet light looks like a loop hole, as you said.

They are designed to run with normal convection cooling. Being HID
they consume little power and efficiently convert most of the energy to
light. So you can wear them standing still.

One thing I hate about bike lights at night is that though you can see some
of the corner, you cannot really look ahead. These would allow you to
look ahead in the corners which would improve safety, as long as you
did not stare at oncoming cars.....

I predict the big light will be worth every penny but the helmet light will end up gathering dust on your shelves
