    Default Amazing ride report

    Ive been reading a lot of reports over at advrider.com. i lot of people doing amazing trips allover the world. i know a couple of you fellas read and post over there, but if you have a pile of popcorn and an hour or two check out this trip, just a fantastic read.

    Wow. That was a great read.

    It makes my little touring jaunts feel pretty lame in comparison. I felt the same way when I saw The Long Way Round.

    I'd love to do something like that in my life. That's my plan after I retire. Sell the house/car/whatever else, load up the bike, and see the world.

    The part where they are racing the tide to get across a narrow strip of beach between the ocean and the desert was awesome. Hell, the whole thing was awesome. Wow.

    No kidding--about the best I can come up with is racing the Tokyo taxis to get inside the next golden stripe!

    Keep in mind that these guys live in South Africa, so for them going to Namibia is like us going to Fukushima :roll:

    Talking about balls to the wall riding. Today I rode all the way from Nirasaki to Enzan via the Crystal Line! It was kinda spooky being out there all by myself

    yeah right. its like us going to russia and hitting a 300km piece of coast that everything written about it is advising us that it is extremely risky. you up for that walter? funny, i didnt think so.

    Sounds like those 'KTM' batteries are unreliable. :roll:
    At least the KTM riders didn't get any broken ankles to show for their bikes handling prowess. ;)

    I used to ride the crystal line back in college, but I kicked the habit.
