Yeah, Jav. The vocals are exactly what we need to work on with that song. What you probably can't see from the vid is that there is another vocalist dancing around down on the floor. He's just joined us and this song doesn't suit his voice, although hopefully that'll change, and I'm crap at remembering lyrics, can't sing for peanuts, I just shout and sometimes it's in tune, plus there are parts of that song where it's nearly impossible for me to play guitar and sing at the same time, although I'm starting to realise that songs where I'm really confident with the lyric content it's getting easier to sing and play simultaneously.

good stuff mate. I'm real keen for good pub live music. The more out of key, random notes, and misplaced singing, the better.

If you ever do a gig in Tokyo, I'm in!

I have to admit I was getting a bit annoyed with that balding prick in the audience who had his back turned on you all the time and wouldn't shut up.

    Enjoy the tunes man,

Same here - though it might be fun one of these days to organise a GR group run to Osaka for one of yer shows.

You'd think so, but we do "Time" and "Stairway to heaven" and they always go down well with the crowd. There's quite a spread/variety in the songlist and we have about 40 songs in the repertoire so chucking in the odd slow, or or intricate tune just adds to the overall balance.

This was the first time to play "Shine on you crazy diamond" live and we weren't really ready but I'd mentioned to an acquaintance a couple of weeks ago that we were thinking of playing and dedicating it to a mutual friend of ours (Matt) who was in hospital with liver cancer. This acquaintance then went and posted on the facebook page, of well-wishes to Matt and his family, that we would dedicate the song to Matt at our next gig (last Saturday)so I wasn't really able to put it off. Matt died last Thursday. Had known him for 20 years and we were exactly the same age, birthdays a few days apart.

Cheers lads I'll definitely post up with a bit of advance warning on upcoming gigs. Not sure of the logistical possibilities of getting the whole band up to Tokyo as there are six of us.

Really like where you're taking the band, the old Pink Floyd stuff sounds great!

    Cheers lads

Yeah, he was a good dude and well liked in Osaka. The guy was one of those permanent feature type people. Always present and/or involved in a lot of the gaijin events here. I suppose 45 is way too young to have it all finish. I know how much stuff I want to achieve before it's my turn to re-assume the role of stardust.

Hey Roland. Thx mate. Keep me in the loop as to dates you'll be in Osaka.
